At a time when Muslims were carefree about punctuality (African time) MICA
came and changed the narrative. I recall with fun memories the MICA symposium held
at “The Nigerian Law School. Victoria Island, Lagos. On the dot of 9 am. The program
started, a 1,800 capacity hall was 90% full and the session began. The latecomers had
to seat on the stairways. Ever since then I imbibed punctuality into my DNA and stopped
giving or making excuses.
